Mission To Mission Bike Ride
Peggy, Rudy and I participated in the annual Mission to Mission Bike ride in San Antonio, TX this past weekend. Peggy and I did the 33 mile bike ride and Rudy attempted to do the 58 mile ride however there was no clear routing and he and others ended up doing 41 miles. In any case, the weather was great with temperatures in the mid 50s to mid 60s by the time we ended the ride. Started at 9:15 AM and finished at 12:15 PM. It is a nice ride taking us through the old Spanish Missions and then through the rolling hills of south San Antonio. The scenery is changing all the time therefore the ride is not boring at all. Peggy did well on this long ride.

Diego's Bike
Saturday I took my grandson to Bay Area's Bicycle shop and bought him a bike. The little fellow was very happy and ready to get on it. He was also fit with a Trek helmet. The rest of the weekend he spent riding around our neighborhood. It wont be long before the training wheels are history.

Thanksgiving weekend at Mustang Island
It was a great holiday having the members of the family together. Fernando and I took a ride to Port Aransas where we met the rest of the family for lunch. We had a nice meal at Shells Restaurant. This is a small restaurant and offers a nice variety f food and good wine. We enjoyed the company. After luch the rest of the family went back to Portland via de Ferry and Fernando and I took a ride down Mustang Island. The weather was just magnificent as you can appreciate it from the attached picture. The BMWs Rock.

BMW R1150RT
Another toy, I finally found a nice motorcycle to replace the one I had prior to our move to Australia. We are enjoying taking short rides in South Texas especially at this time of the year when temperatures are cool.
Goliad Missions Bicycle Ride
Our new hobby is taking us to participate in South Texas bike rides. This one was lots of fun due to the nice weather and the beautiful scenery.
